Angles are a geometrical figure defined by three points which encompass a vertex. In class we are studying Angle Bisectors, Complimentary Angles, Supplementary angles, and much more!

Percent Change

Percent change is a method used to describe the difference between the original price or status and its ending price or status.  Examples of areas where this gets used a lot is in describing prices and markets.  An application of percent change that we use every day (which we also covered two weeks ago) is sales in a store.  When a product is on sale for 30%, what you are being told is that the percent change from the price of the product has a difference of 30%

The Equation: percent of change = amount of change/original amount

Percent Proportion

As of Monday February 14 we have started working on Percent Proportion.  Recall:

%/100 = part/whole

Example: What is 60% of 200?

60/100 = x/200

12000 = 100x

x = 120
